The Watergardens

The NSC will be Singapore's longest Transit Priority Corridor with dedicated bus lanes, cycling routes, and pedestrian paths. The corridor spans over 21.5km connecting the northern region to the city. Bus commuters can expect to save an average of 10-15 minutes of travel time.

Directly connected to the Canberra MRT Station, the Canberra Plaza is a New Generation Neighbourhood Centre built by the Housing & Development Board, it is one of the new Neighbourhood Centres constructed by HDB in 10 years after the completion of Pioneer Mall and Punggol Plaza in 2004. It houses 70 commercial units of retails and dining space which includes McDonald's, KFC, A&W and Daiso.

The upcoming Sembawang sport and community hub set to open progressively from 2020 will be called Bukit Canberra. First announced in 2016, the 12-hectare land will provide amenities such as a hawker center, indoor and outdoor sports facilities, a polyclinic, a senior care center, green spaces for community farming, and lifestyle-related amenities such as public pools and gardens for the community. It is located about five minutes from Sembawang MRT station.

Canberra is 3 stops to Woodlands (Thomson-East Coast Line) part of TEL 1, which opened in Jan 2021. The TEL will open in stages from 2020, and all 32 stations would be fully operational by 2025.

Sembawang Shipyard’s operations shall cease, and the site may undergo potential redevelopment into a mixed-use waterfront lifestyle precinct while preserving its rich maritime history for many to enjoy. The Reserved site fronting the shipyard has been re-zoned to a residential site. A good indication of exciting waterfront living underway.

Sembawang Hot Spring Park is a natural hot spring and a public park in Singapore. It is located beside a military camp about 100 meters (330 ft) off Gambas Avenue. Like hot springs worldwide, Its sulphuric content can have health healing benefits. The hot spring has been redeveloped to provide a rustic rural environment for visitors to enjoy.

The Central Corridor linking Woodlands to City Centre and the C2C Northern Route from Khatib Bongsu to Sungei Buloh will be completed in phases between 2026 and 2030.

Woodlands Health Campus (WHC) is a 1,800-bedded purpose-built Campus comprising a fully integrated acute and community hospital, specialist outpatient clinics, and intermediate and long-term care facilities. These green spaces would be used for recreational and rehabilitation activities. It is expected to open progressively from 2023.

Built-in 1939, it was officiated as a national monument in 2002. It was used as a restaurant and later a private school, but soon it would be giving way to the Canberra House Library, to be opened by the end of 2022.

Mandai is set to be transformed into a 126Hz eco-Tourism Hub consisting of Singapore Zoo, River Safari, Night Safari, and Bird Park will be relocated from Jurong and the new Rainforest Park. Eco-centric Accommodations will be built. Eco-Bridge, similar to the one over BKE, has also been announced. The major makeover of Mandai Zoo led by Temasek Holdings and STB set out to shape Mandai into a leading nature destination in Asia.

The 4km long train journey will connect passengers between the Singapore terminus in Woodlands North and Johor’s Bukit Chagar station. Construction for RTS Link Woodlands North Station officially kickstarted on Jan 22, 2021, and is slated to commence passenger service by the end-2026.
